New Clyde to Cycling
Good evening everyone! My name is Rob and I'm getting started in cycling. I've been meaning to get started for the greater part of a year and a half now, and I'm finally diving in. Trying to do my research before buying my first bike, and I'll be going to an LBS for the first time tomorrow to get properly fitted. After reading many posts on here, I have already averted my first cycling disaster by jumping in too quickly (almost purchased a bike without being properly measured... not good for a 6-6, 230lbs guy like myself I gather). Thanks in advance for all the assistance you already have and will undoubtedly provide, and I hope to someday give back in return!

Post some pics of the new bike and where you ride.
Go slow and have fun.
Ask questions when you have some.

Welcome to the forums! Sounds like you got the first issue out of the way by knowing it is best to be fitted to a bike, your a big guy and might have issues if you got an off the shelf ride. Let us know what you settle on, share some pics.
