Hello! My name is Leland. I'm not as old as my technological abilities would suggest...
Anyway, I've been actively riding for about 2 years and enjoy tinkering with the bikes I have. They're all old and I can't afford (or my wife won't let me) buy anything new and shiny (or new and carbony) right now. But that's okay, I've come to love cromoly greatly.
In fact, I'm in the middle of refurbishing an old cromoly frame from the late 1970's. It is a Lotus that I got from my father-in-law, who in turn purchased it secondhand. I just got it powder-coated and am in the midst of reattaching all the bits. Perhaps I'll post a picture once this is done...and if my technologically superior wife shows me how...
Right now I ride around on a Bikes Direct Dawes that I picked up for cheap on Craigslist.
There are two other frames sitting about in the shed awaiting rebirth. Time and money will tell.
