I've been riding bikes for a long time but only got serious about it when I purchased a Trek 7.3 about 2 and a half years ago. Boy was I missing something up till then!
Best investment I've ever made, hands down.
I had mitral valve surgery a year and a half ago and came thru it with flying colors, and very speedily, thanks to the conditioning my bike riding afforded me.
Presently ride anywhere from 15 to 20 miles about three times a week. Total cumulative miles on the Trek is around 3900. I'm looking to upgrade and will seriously look into a bona fide road bike in the near future. The Tampa area has some good trails, the weather is ridable every day of the year, but of course it does "go sauna" like right about now I eat it up though.
I've enjoyed reading the posts in the forum and will contribute now that I've officially registered.
