Hello
I'm in the process of moving to Jacksonville, Fl (from Saint Paul, MN). I've been riding single speeds pretty much my whole life growing up in Lithuania. I do like multi-speed bikes, however, and am looking for an advice on a bike: I'd like to ride on the beach, near the water, but can't stand those beach cruisers. I think I need to get a mountain bike, but I also want to ride around town, so those knobby tires might need to be replaced for something slicker? Hybrid, perhaps?

Ask the folks in the Southeast Regional subforum. Jacksonville isn't completely flat. There are small hills and inclines.
