Hello from East Vancouver!
Hi all. Just joined, having found posts to the forums invaluable in researching my aspirations towards a well-put together classic steel/CroMo road bike. While I currently ride around a 5-speed 'Frankenbike' slapped together (by someone else) from an old 23"Apollo lugged steel frame, 172.5 Campagnolo Veloce crankset, a newer dollar-store Shimano rear derailleur, Tektro brakes, old Shimano 600 levers, etc., setup with bullhorn bars (my own work with a pipe-cutter) and a Brooks tractor seat rescued off a shelf in WA State, I'm moving in on a mid-range road bike - inspired by a beautiful 1983-4 Norco I had in Montreal but was forced to sell. Will definitely be looking for some advice in the forums as it looks increasingly likely that I may be building up from the right frame out!
