just getting started...

Hello from Southern California...

My hubby is on here... and I'm joining him.

With patellofemoral arthritis (no knee cartilage, right knee) I find that if I keep moving, it's easier to keep moving. The limited impact exercise of cycling allows me to work towards my weight loss goal (lose 100 lbs) and keep the knee moving with limited pain. THAT'S what I'm talkin' about...

Have long been a cycling fan (since I was a kid)... and am now buying an "adult" bike. Looks like I'll be hanging around here a bit more.

Mostly, looking forward to learning from some of the professionals around here... but also connecting to others with the same passion we have for cycling.

Lori: I have had chodromalacia for years..I assume you've been diagnosed? Mine, along w/ injuries resulted in two ACL's and a TKR (total knee repl). Cycling and quad sets to align the patella...but try not to push thru the pain. Lots of cycling years left and you have a problem easily remedied!
