another from (near) Pittsburgh
50-something who recently got an underused 1991 Trek 1100 tuned up and began riding again. Living northwest of Pittsburgh, working near downtown. Interested in finding others within striking range for riding. Spent last weekend at Ohiopyle, riding Friday and rafting Saturday, we got lucky with fabulous weather for both, just before storms hit Sunday.
I see elsewhere in these forums that my 1100 is considered, ah, hm, "retro." Riiiiiiight.
Formerly a rather serious rider, from age 10 to about 35, but then...well, life changes, and now is the time to change it back.
I am mildly entertained both by the comfort found when back in the saddle and the fact that a similarly aged Cateye CC-7000 came to life just fine when handed a proper battery and after being whacked on a tabletop a couple of times.

Regrettably, no... I'm in northwest Beaver county, and work is 50 miles away.
