Hello all, 49 new to cycling
Hello everyone, I'm 49 year old and started riding about 2 months ago. At 5'3", 200 lbs I decided I needed to get in shape and lose some weight. Tried walking but it was killing my knees, so I looked into cycling. Bought a Raleigh Venture 3.0 comfort bike and started my journey. The first day I could do 3 miles and that was it. 2 months later I'm down 22 lbs. and did a 30 miler this past Saturday. I now look forward to my daily rides and have started dreaming about getting a road bike and doing a century ride. I live in a small town south of Tulsa and don't know any other cyclists, but I'm thinking about joining a club in Tulsa and doing some charity ride in the spring. Looking forward to making new friends here.

Cold front moving through here tonight. Highs in the low 60's tomorrow and possible light freeze by Wed. morning. Guess I'd better figure out how to dress for cold weather riding.

Keep on rollin'!
Windbreaker and a sweater will do it!
Wool gloves a plus!
Tight fitting knit cap under your helmet a must!
If you have windpants, that too!
Great story. Keep it up..improve that story!
