New guy

Hello all, I'm pretty new to MTBing.
I live in Okc,Ok..
Bought the wife and I bikes last year at Wal-Mart after discovering some local trails
while scouting a pond I had heard about..
Didn't have a lot $ at the time to get into this and didn''t want to spend
a lot either ,not knowing how much we would like it...
We both quit smokin shortly after buying bikes, wife fractured her arm
on the trails on a Sat,the next day I went over bars off a bridge
and landed on a big root on my sternum...Knocked me out cold..
I couldn't dress myself for a month...

So long story short while rcovering started smoking again, and barely rode at all,
we quit smoking again a few months ago and I started riding about 3 to 4 times
a week....

I started shopping around for a new bike and couldn't find anything I
really liked,so I decided to rebuild my Mongoose ....
Also became drawn to SS,I never shifted much anyway...

So here is my rebuilt Mongoose, only thing stock is seatpost, stem, and brakes.
I've upgraded tires to Racing Ralphs and bought clipless pedals since pics were taken.

You definitely made it your own. With the SS does this mean you're only riding street now? If so, why not a little thinner profile tire for less rolling resistance.
