Hello all,
I found this site when I was looking for cyclocross information. I have been riding my surly cross-check for about three years, mainly as a commuter and touring bike. It was just this season that I pulled off the fenders, racks and bottle cages put on 30c tires and tried it out in the mud at the emerald city cyclocross series. I decided to try the first race of the season and was hooked from there. I found myself at all the rest of the races. I am heading down to Portland, OR for nationals this weekend, to ride and to watch and learn how it is really should be done.
I have also done a chunk of touring on my cross-check. There is really nothing like seeing a new area from two wheels.
Will anyone else be making there way to Portland this weekend? Any idea what it will be like?
thanks, ernesto

Not going out there, but welcome! There are plenty of folks in Seattle. You may want to post your question out in the forums, though, since not as many people view the Introductions section of the forum as the rest of the other forums.
