new to the forum
Hi, I live in Bellingham, WA and just started commuting regularly to work on my 1980's era Giant Sedona. The increased miles have really taken their toll on the bike, and the frame is a bit small so I am excited to get ideas about whether to buy new (I would have to save $ for a while!) or to rebuild an old Univega Alpina Sport that seems to be about the right size. I would like to use the same bike for touring this spring.

Thanks for the replies! RaleighSport what is the C&V? I am into advice and ideas. I have replaced a bottom bracket before, but am basically brand new to bike work.
