Hello all....decided to join this forumn for cycling....I been a member of other forumns...just not a cycling forumn.
So let's see have seriously starting cycling again back in April 2010. When I needed a lifestyle change. My doctor helped me decide to do something...when he said if I didn't start to exercise and lose some weight I was going to be a Diabetic. That is all it took for me. The month before I bought my 1st bike in over 20 years. It was a comfort Hybrid Schwinn from target. Rode it 9 months and about 1600 miles before it started to fall apart. Then last January bought a flat bar road bike (Marin Lucas Valley)...so since I got a computer I have ridden over 4600 miles back in April 2010. In 2011 I rode over 3100 miles, and in 4 organzied rides some were benefits rides. Oh yeah and lost 40 lbs somewhere in the process. My goal this year is to due a century ride in April. And keep up the miles, and get better at hills.
I am also very lucky to be living in Northern California...can almost cycle everyday.....ride on...hope to be parts of all kinds of discussions!
Cheers
