We just were given a 1952? Raleigh 4 speed bike from our 93 year old Uncle and would like to know more about it. Does anybody know how to find out more about an old, very nice bicycle?

First thing to do is check the Sturmey Archer hub for a date, probably in format like 52 4 (which would indicate it was manufactured in April, 1952). Also, check serial numbers. They may be on the top of the seat tube, on the rear dropouts (where the rear wheel attaches), or under the bottom bracket shell (where the cranks are mounted).

Here's a 1951 Raleigh catalog to peruse.

Perhaps the folks in the Classic & Vintage forum can help.

Thanks, the date on the sturmey Archer is 3 52 the model is GH6. The numbers on the seat tube are 23340 BG or BC. I'll check out the catalog link.
