Pocono, PA Xtreme cycler

New user... am saving money for this bike.
https://www.bikesdirect.com/products/.../kilott_wt.htm

I need a superb road bike that can tackle a dirt road. I feel a solid frame with wide tires is the best fit. IMO any suspension is only needed whilest jumping, cause i'd just lock it out while trying too stay grounded. Any other bike suggestions?

Welcome!

Where in the Poconos are you from? I grew up between Wilkes-Barre and Hazleton, not too far from White Haven.

Along with hybrids, you may want to check out cyclocross bikes. I have a Specialized Tricross, and something like that should work for you too.

Hi all, my fiance and I live in Bethlehem Pa, but she was born and raised in Weatherly, just outside Jim Thorpe. I'm new here as well, check out " why I am here" in introductions. Hope to see you soon out on the dirt.
