Howdy!
Harold here, from Jefferson, TX. Whopping population of 2,100.
Been riding a while and posted a few times here on the mechanic section. It's been a great help.
Currently I ride 40 - 50 miles / week. Some on a mountain bike on back roads and some on a road bike, mainly up and down the state highways.
Mountain bike is a Trek 4900 Disc, heavy, but a nice smooth ride. I'm usually out with the kiddos so who cares how fast we go, we just have fun. We also have a mid 90's Trek 950 and a who knows when Trek 850, these being mainly what the kids use.
My road bikes are an '83 Trek 520 that I've finally, sadly admitted is too small for me. It was my first "real" bike and I got a bit attached.
So... got a "new" bike, a 2006 Jamis Satellite. Fits much better, I can go faster, longer and NOT HURT!!!
Looking forward to meeting some folks here on the forum and learning some 'stuff'' to help my skill level and fitness level improve.
