Hello from Kentucky. Old bird discovers bikes (again)
We won't talk about how old but I've been bitten by the bike bug. Two weeks ago I rescued a 1974 Raleigh Sports from a flea market. It's getting new tires now, had the originals on. For some reason, I could not stop looking at this bike, brought it inside and looked some more. Last week, I rescued her sister, a 1971 Raleigh Sports. Her turn is next at the shop. What is it with this new fascination? I have been all over the internet in the past two weeks reading every thing that I can. How can I learn to work on my own bikes? Does it take a lot of strength. I am mechanically minded and even have metric tools.
