Hello
Hello, My name is David. I live in Florida and ride often on the Van Fleet Trail. I've done RAGBRAI a couple of times and would like to do it and other multi-day rides some more. That looked like a good trip. My self contained rides so far have been over nighters to a park about 50 miles from home. I was doing it on an old mountain bike with an Xtracycle attachment. I just sold that and got a used BOB Yak. Someday I'd like to bike from Florida up to my brother's place in Illinois, do the RAGBRAI, then ride home. Have you ever tried camping in a hammock? I am trying to get mine set up right; need an under quilt for cooler weather though.

No hammock for me. I have a small air mattress that works fine.
Camped 45 nights with it.
