Intro/ looking for a good internal hub 8spd wheelset for my Bianchi San Jose
I just got a cheap used Bianchi San Jose on Clist. I'm about to take it apart, strip the frame and paint it- don't like the red color and since I'm parking it around the city, I want to get rid of the branding.
looking for a decent wheelset with an internal 8spd (or so) hub.
looking at this:
Shimano WH-S501 Alfine 700c 8-speed Road Wheelset
Wondering what cog I need and what else besides a bar shifter I need to complete.
It's been awhile since I had drops and since I'm pretty short, is it ok to raise the brakes a little so I don't have to lean so far?
Since I live in the east bay, I hope to climb some hills in Berkeley and Oakland. Thinking of putting road tires on since I won't be off roading much. Any other suggestions?
it.
