Hi this is Arno from The Netherlands
Hello bikefreaks,
My name is Arno, I'm 47 y.o. and having a midlife crisis. The last year or so I'm into vintage bicycles instead of Harley's.
My interest in cycling restarted last year on holyday in Germany were I took my 1996 Cannondale F500 to use on the camping to get bread and groceries.
It turned out in an everyday mountainbike ride through the woods and over the hill's.
I was hooked again.
At home I rebuild my Cannondale with new wheels and an new XT group. The bike felt new again.
Starting to cycle about 2 or 3 days a week for 30-50 km's each ride, a lot on the road, decreased my weight with 15 kgs. Believe me, there is still a lot left to loose!
A few months back I had the change do work one day for an old roadbike, the man didn't tell me what it was and I had to decide if I would do it or not. A man has to gamble sometimes so I earned a bike.
When I saw it I fel in love.
It was a 1998 steel Pinarello Stelvio. All Ultegra and in a very nice shape.
this picture is made some time ago and I changed some parts allready. It will come out as all Dura Ace. I know it's Italian and I have to use Campo but the same quality Campo is twice as pricy and more difficult to find.
Maybe later.
First I'm gonna enjoy summer, riding and pollishing my bikes, build another bike or 2, 3 maybe and we'll see.
Greeting from Arno
