Hey from College Station TX! (Now with Pics)
Hey guys, a newbie here trying to get into biking. I used to be able to run before I destroyed my knee in the Marine Corps, but this seems to be like the only way I can try to stay in shape.
I found a 90's Trek 6000 mountainbike on craigslist for 50$ and a 70's Peugeot roadbike on there for 125$. Their both need allot of changes with small stuff as in seats and a brake but their good enough to get me started I guess. Any suggestions for a new guy? |
Be gregarious and give more than you take!
I would start a thread on each bike maybe too. Cheers m8, I'm a noob too. |
Greetings, down there in Aggie Land from Purdue Country!

Alright, I'll try and take a few pictures of the bikes and post up some pictures. I think I got kind of hooked up, happened to buy them both for really cheap because of people moving out of town.

I have a 97 trek 6000 zx, its been my go to mtb for years, great ride, bonded frame!!! I changed all the components eventually except the seatpost and handlebars.
http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=250044 you should post a link to the ad but $50 sounds pretty good so long as the wheels are straight and the frame is intact. |

Always wondered. |

Haha I guess I might have been misleading. I had found and bought a road bike and mountain bike off of craigslist. I think I got a pretty good deal on both. If it stops raining today I'll post up some pics.

Welcome! I am getting back into riding after years of sitting at a desk. I used a bike as my primary transportation while in school at A&M.
