New boy needs advice! - Giant TCX 2 2011 any good for a new rider?

Hi. From North West England. Any one use one of these bikes or offer advice?

I have found one of these new for 550 and it seems a bargain. Am fresh to riding after years but used to ride an old MTB. And fancy something lighter and quicker but still versatile. Was thinking of a hybrid around the 350 mark but liked the look of the cx in the shop!
