Hello from the Metro East (Illinois/St. Louis area).
Newbie from the Metro East area, which is across the river from St. Louis, MO. I got interested in cycling a few years ago when I got my first road bike, a Felt z100. I rode many miles and that bike and had a blast. In this area we have miles and miles of bike trails, so it's a perfect place for the casual rider and even more serious cyclists. In fact, there are group rides every few days that I'd like to be a part of one day; currently I'm a student and either at work or in class when they take place. Right now I'm rockin' a 2011 Jamis Coda Sport, which I absolutely love. I decided to trade in the old Felt and get something that would be a bit more appropriate for the ride I'm planning: The Katy Trail. If you haven't heard about it, check it out. I've ridden about fifty miles on it (back when I had my Felt) and it was gorgeous. Anyway, I check out this forum frequently but have never registered for some reason; thought it was about time.
