I have bought myself a mountain bike just last week and am here to look for some motivation
A couple years ago I was fat and started looking after myself with regular exercise and eating well and have lost over 30kg and am pretty close to being at a healthy weight. I enjoyed walking and jogging outdoors but recently have been diagnosed with arthritis. Boooo!! So in an effort to protect my knees a bit I've decided to try cycling.
I live on a big farm in the outback which is quite sandy so most of my riding will be on tracks around here. At the moment I'm just doing 20 mins at a time and trying to work the gears out and hope to build up soon. I think I have a pretty good level of fitness but know I have declined a bit lately since I haven't been jogging much but I hope to increase my distances soon.
