Hello from Northern MN
Hello.
I live 15 miles north of Duluth, MN. I'm just getting back into using a bicycle for exercise and fun. I work in the home so I don't commute and I live too far out to use a bike for utilitarian tasks like going to the grocery.
I have a Schwinn Sierra Sport comfort bike that I bought at a LBS in 2003. I'm looking to update some of the components on the bike to try to get a bike that I like better for 20 mile rides (I'm working up to rides of that length).
I've already learned quite a bit from the forums and look to learn more and hopefully contribute in the future if I can.

Scott, I used to be from Duluth and now and from all over. Next week I will be west of Duluth about 50 miles. You want to do a ride sometime pm me. Rice Lake road isn't a bad ride. Or if you want to come close to town there is the Munger trail going from Carlton. Carlton to Duluth washed out in the Big Flood. My spouse is working up to rides of ten or more miles on his comfort bike and I'd like to get him out on the Munger as it is a nice easy flat ride.

I'm near Twig, so I'm looking at rides on Industrial, Munger Shaw, and possibly Canosia until I get more comfortable going too far from home.

Welcome to the Forum. I live in the cities but am heading up your way this week. I will be up by Grand Marais for a couple days for a little r&r. Hopefully it is cooler up there than down here.
