G'day from Melbourne, Australia

Hi Everyone,

Thought I'd introduce myself to the forum.

I started off on mountain bikes and rode extensively during my teenage years. No serious tracks or downhills, but I do recall being on my bike a lot - it's what got me back and forth from my first job!

Took a long break, and now find myself getting very interested in road bikes, particularly of the fixed gear and single speed varieties. I'm hopefully going to be doing a restore job in the very near future and I'm sure these forums will provide to be a great source of information and wisdom.

Cheers,

Kwando

Hi everyone,

Thanks for the welcome.

So far on my return to cycling journey, I've managed to get a nice old centurion frame from a friend of mine.

It looks like everything else other than the frame, brakes and the tyres will need to be replaced so I'm currently shopping for all the parts.

Going to be turning it into a single speed recreational bike.

Cheers!

I've been able to pick up a Centurion. Really smooth ride. Congrats and have fun making it all your own!
