Hi all

I'm a 35yr old bike enthousiastic from Utrecht, The Netherlands. I've been riding a racing bike and a XC mountain bike for about 4 years now. I currently ride a carbon Focus Izalco Pro (2012) and a Giant Terrago 0 MTB. Next to that I'm currently building/converting a steel single speed commuter bike.
I've built my first two racing bikes as well, the first was a vontage steel 5-speed bike and after that an aluminium Colnago with a 10speed Shimano 105 group.

From spring to summer I ride my racing bike and after that, when it gets colder and wetter in Holland, I like to get myself dirty on singletrack MTB trails in our forests.
Last june I climbed the Alpe d'Huez in the French Alps six times in one day for a charity event and I raised €3500,- for cancer research. Since then I'm really hooked to cycling in the mountains. But unfortunately we don't have any in Holland, our highest hill being less than 300m.

Welcome to Bike Fourms TheLemon,

My home is 18 feet above sea level.

No hills here, just wind.

O that's higher than mine, I think it's about 12 feet. A few miles west of my place there are people who live several feet below sea level.
