Davis, CA says hello!
Hi everyone
I'm a grad student at UC Davis. I currently ride a converted-fixie cannondale.
I don't really have a 'proper rig' but I have been biking around Davis for 3 years now and I love the fixed gear that I have. Sadly, I just had my second ACL reconstruction in 5 years and I've been advised to look for something less 'destructive' than soccer for my knees and so, biking seemed like the only logical choice to me given my location and the fact that I enjoy it. I have been scouting out bikes for the past month trying to educate myself on gauging what makes for a decent road bike, but of course this is a WIP. The interweb (and hence, this forum) has been really helpful!! Gotta love technology, whether on a bike or on a computer.
