Greetings from Central Florida
I've recently developed an affection for biking. I live nearby a series of paved trails and not too far from off road trails. I currently have a Trek 800 sport, bought used and a recently purchased Schwinn Dual Sport (pre-assembled from a big box store which I just learned might have been a mistake). It seems to work fine, but I know very little about bicycle mechanics and I look forward to learning and advancing as a cyclist.

Welcome Brian. Where abouts in central FL?
Lots of FL folks here. Stop by the Southeast Regional subforum and say hello to the locals.

Right now is the perfect time to be cycling in Florida, cool days, humidity isn't bad. There is a ton of information here for any questions you have.
