As far as the riding here? I'm not sure my wife and I are new to this. We been to one place and put 5 miles on the bikes. But looking forward to riding more trails in the near future.

the Big O!

The newest trail maps are in the libraries and Bike Stores of course. Riding is good on the paved trails, but season the maps with experience- I believed it one day riding south on the 144 trail from Fort.. the trail switched sides of road randomly and then disappeared/ended about a 1/4 mile above West center. I took to the street with a tandem and a teenage stoker, something I had not planned on doing, but it worked out OK.
On the other hand, we were tandeming on the Big Papio down the the Culvers, and when we arrived back at the start, our ride had bailed... Wanting to get home before dark, we headed up to Pacific and surprise-had sidewalks almost all the way back home (vic Bob Boozer). Now, I would not have done this if I and the daughter were on singles, but since I was driving the tandem, I felt fairly secure in my traffic skills, should they have been needed.
Sidebar, the hill at Pacific and 144 going west begs to bombed down with the traffic- and is way to much fun.
Here is the website of Omaha trails... <http://www.omahatrails.com/>
