Newbie Mini Velo Nut
Hi, I have really gotten into biking again in the last few years and I love it, I mostly ride in NYC and I love to go fast and push myself. in the last two years I have discovered the Minivelo style of bicycle and I am in love. I picked up a dahon Silvertip a little while back and I have been modifying it ever since. I am also an amateur machinist and I make some of my own parts, I am psyching myself up to building my own frame. I love to share what I learn and find people who feel the same I look forward to talking to some of you in the near future.

just got a new minivelo type bike I found at a local shop, its an Origin 8 Bully and I love it! I am in the process of adding Disc brakes and a 9 speed drive train.
I am getting the new wheels laced up now and the bike should be all back together this week!

Looks like a very well engineered build on your mini-velo, that disk set up is sweet.

Got the wheels back, now the hard part, fitting the brakes and modifying the chain tensioners to clear the cassette, I don't love this horizontal dropout deal but I am loving the way this bike is shaping up!

I put some details on another thread but there is so much more to do on it. I am replacing just about everything on the bike but the frame and the fork, I'm not going super high end obviously but just getting some better quality parts cause for $350 most of the parts were kinda crappy and I have a very specific vision for it as a city bike. I can't wait to get this thing on the road!
