Hi

Im Ron. I ride about 5 miles each morning. Most of it is on an antique Royce Union 3 speed. Got it in trade for a Burger King Whopper in 1973. Just the frame and fenders are original. I am 68 and in good shape because of the bike.

I am a retired research chemist. Found this site because I was reading the history of Royce Union. Just looked at my bike and the brass name plate has made in Japan on it so it is Japanese. Has a quality construction using tubing connections not the cheaper welded joints.

Location is Apopka, Fl. I have a riding partner but who knows she might get run over by a car one day due to the way she crosses streets.

One of my friends back in Oklahoma is an old Army civil Engineer, Thanks for all the welcomes.

Does anyone know if the female spoke connectors on the wheel rim are replacable? I just replaced 3 spokes but 2 have striped threads on the rim connector.

Ron,
The "Castle" in the avatar is USACE but that is the insignia for the Society of American Military Engineers, a national organization for those that work with and for all the military engineering corps, be it USACE, Navy CEC, Air Force AFRCE/Red Horse, Coast Guard, USPHS and others. Great organization to be part of. I am Marine, 75-77, enlisted avionics technician.
