starting next week I should be able to ride any night, so far my longest has been only 5.5 miles, but for being 370 and not being on a bike in over 20 years. Slowly progress but steady progress

That's doing VERY well for such circumstances. In a year, 5 miles will be a warmup for you. Welcome aboard. See you in the C&A forum!

I started with 5 miles rides. I would ride 5, rest then 5 more. Got up to 50 miles one day with 10 rides.

Takes sometime for your body to adapted to your bike.

Have fun and asked questions when you have problems.

Hello Dogfather69, form another Clyde, welcome to BF. You have gotten started and you have e good solid bike, now keep the enthusiasm going. Visit the Clydesdale and Athena Forum and the Regional Forums for your area so you can find some others with the same goals and trials as you. Best of luck with your cycling.

Bill
