Northern Colorado Newbie

Looking forward to getting to know you! 54 years old and rediscovered bicycling a little over a year ago when the ole knee and hip decided I couldn't run up and down the basketball court anymore.
Went out and bought a couple of Electra Townies for my wife and myself... recent empty nesters and we've fallen in love with biking. Northern Colorado-Fort Collins and Loveland are SO bike friendly. we have miles of paved bike trails to discover.
Not to mention the improved relationship our bicycling adventures has provided as a couple. Getting ready to make a move to commuting 10 miles to work and recently purchased a Specialized Globe that I've been accessorizing.

We look to travel to bike friendly vacation spots rather than just beach spots now. I'll be asking more from you as we look.

Hi Gizzy, welcome to BF. Good choices for your bikes, the Globe looks like a fairly complete Commuter bike as it is, that should be a great bike for you to use for getting to and from work. As someone in the 50+ category too, I'd invite you to visit our 50+ forum, the gang there is very friendly and knowledgeable, lots of commuters there. We have Commuter and Regional Forums you should visit also, lots of people there with similar interests to yours and you can find others for rides and activities.
