Da Lil Black Mowse

So, where to begin...

*Stands up* Hai I am Rhonda and I am an alcoholi...oh wait wrong thing!

Anyways, yes my name is Rhonda and I am 30 years young. Been off the bicycle for 15 years now due to life and an injury that caused me a great deal of pain. I unfortunaly am out of work right now due to degenerative disc disease I was diagnosed with back in 2003. Before that, I was a lot healthier than I am now.

Outside of riding my awesome (IMHO) K2 Echo Hybrid bike I also golf, bowl and am an accomplished photographer... (wonder if photography and biking can go hand in hand if I don't take my DSLR) I just recently hit the pavement on a bicycle again two and a half weeks ago.

My boyfriend and I were LOOKING at bikes for the both of us because I was complaining that walking was getting too harsh on my knees and back. He fell in love with a Diamondback Recoil (was a $800 bike got it on clearance for $400) and I ended up with my K2. The amazing thing about my loving boyfriend, he had major ankle surgery and the doctors said he wouldn't be able to bike....Put that in your pipe and smoke it doctors, he's out there with me as often as he can!!

I've already logged about 125 miles in on my bike (not too much for a lot of you but it's quite a bit for me) and am committed to getting myself back into shape where I can do 50-100 miles in one sitting. So my purpose here is to actually get some insight and to possibly help those who have may have suffered a similar injury that I have.

So that's me...not a lot to me! Just figured I'd say....HAI!!

Hi Rhonda, glad that you chose BF and joined up. Great introduction, I am a back injury, multiple surgery "survivor" too. Good to hear that cycling agrees with you and your Boyfriend, do get him here, too. We have many forums that you and he will enjoy participating in, surf around and find the ones that youo enjoy and that fit your needs. Looking forward to those pictures

Bill
