    Young rookie signing on!

    Hello!

Just bought a new mountain bike (incredibly cheap compared to a lot of bikes I've seen) that looks like this, with an XL frame (I'm 6'2 @ 220lbs)
    http://www.harobikes.com/mtb/bikes/f...ne-one-29-2013

Got better pedals, a new seat & gloves with it too!

At 16 I think I'm one of the youngest here but it seems like an awesome forum- I initially found it looking for advice to get a helmet with a visor or visorless.

So on that note, seeing the bike I ride, which I'll mostly be taking it on a paved path with the occasional off-road trip, would a visor be useful, or not so much?

Welcome to the forum - In Texas visors are very useful - Any thing to help block the sun a little - Looks like a great bike and one that you can build on to - Your Shimano and Suntour items are real good entry componets - What kind of seat?

    It's a men's gel seat, I don't know the specifics by memory

Come to think about it... The off roaders who bike around here don't really sit much...

When starting out ridding It always take time to break your seat in, both yours and the bikes... Have Fun...
