    Hello all!

My name is Black Bud, and I finally entered the 21st century--I bought my own computer!!

As a result, I now can let you all know that: 1) I exist, and, 2) I have a lot to say!!
(Since I had to use library computers to "surf" the Web, I did not feel it was my place to
    join boards such as this.)

I started to bike commute about five years ago when I moved too far from my job
to walk, and I just got sick of using the overpriced-and-not-available-often-enough-even-
when-it's-on-schedule city bus!! (I do not own a car, don't even have a license to drive.
In addition, I'm not rich and would rather live in a better location than live in a "dump"
    just to support a car!!

I guess that my neighbors, family, and co-workers think I'm a bit insane! Especially when
I show up all covered with snow and ick in winter!! (I ride year-round.)

I hope we will be friends!!

A bad day on the bike is better than a good day at work!!

Greetings Black Bud! I don't think your insane for not owning an automotive. My son chose to live
where he lives (capitol Hill, Seattle) so he would never have to own a car. My husband and I who
live in West Seattle only have one car and 3 bikes between the two of us

    STEEKER:

I also use a trailer for the "big" hauling jobs (groceries, cat vet visits, etc.). In fact,
I hauled this computer home in my Burley trailer (set up as a temporary flatbed).

It wasn't easy! I need to make my next trailer purchase a REAL flatbed trailer,
such as Bikes At Work makes. They cost some bucks, though!

    I'd better save my shekels!!
