Hello from Salt Lake City, Utah!
I just bought a Look KX frame to build up and it needs some parts, so I'm going to be lurking around the mechanics area.
If anyone's ever had to replace a cable eylet on the downtube or the funky seatpost wedge bolt then please let me know. Also, any recommendations on integrated headsets, let me know.

Off road. We've got a sweet tandem, built for high speed XC. Do you have a good LBS there? And how is the job market in general?

Yeah there are a couple of decent LBS's around ... Timp Cyclery, the Bike Peddler are the 2 that come to mind. The job outlook depends a lot on the field you're hoping to find work in ... tech jobs/customer service/medical assisting are strong so is education. Can't speak with a lot of experience outside of that though.

10 years in the insurance industry, about 15 as a photographer, plenty of customer service too. We have friends in Highland, which I think is very close to you.

Indeed Highland/Alpine/Pleasant Grove/Cedar Hills are all basically one big city divided by geographical boundries ... and they're all linked through lindon to Provo/Orem and then further south Spanish Fork/Payson to form the Utah Valley
Wedding photography is big around here because half the population gets married at 19 and there are 3 large universities in the area.
There really are a lot of great rides in the area. 2 great canyons with little traffic and lots of single track plus a lake in our backyard that makes almost a perfect century ride to make 1 revolution.

That works for us. The tandem is basically a titanium hardtail with a DH fork up front. I'm sure it's also much cooler there than here. Hard to ride in the bush when it's 100 degress. This is also the most poisonous continent on the planet. Good to know I can get back into the photo business. What do you do?

I manage a tech support center ... fun stuff eh? And yes, it's definately a lot cooler, though July/August can have some pretty horrid days. There's usually a nice 3 week period in early April where the mountain passes are still closed but there's no snow on the roads so bikers have free reign
