Hi from CA

Hello, FeuRouge here.

I'm back on a bike after a 12 year absence. I'm now commuting to/from work (15 miles round trip) on a 2013 Specialized Sirrus Sport. I'm hoping to lose weight and stay healthy at 40 years old.

Hi FeuRouge, welcome to BF. We have a really good Commuting Forum that you can share in and get answers to your questions. I'll second the 'Like" about your Sirrus, those are great bikes. Ride safe.
