Newb in North Texas (Waxahachie)

Joining the forum with the anticipation of my FIRST real bike. I am getting a very good deal from a friend of a friend. A Trek 7.5 fx with upgrades. Test drove several bikes at LBS including the 7.5, 7.2 and a Specialized MB RockClimber COMP. I was very impressed with the smoothness of the 7.5 and the way it felt... the 7.2 didn't feel quite as refined (but rode it to know the difference as well as correctly sizing what I should get). The Specialized was very nice as well. Very excited to be getting the 7.5, hopefully will be getting it tomorrow!

Welcome to Bike Forums. Good choice. I bought my 13 y/o grandson a Trek 7.2 FX last year. He loves it.

Howdy Tex, welcome to BF, visit the Texas Regional Forum and you can set up rides and other activities to break in that new Trek.
