Long-time Cyclist, New to Building/ Fixing

Hi All,

I've biked for most of my life, with lots of commuting and some touring. For four months, I lived off the grid and commuted 33 miles a day in an attempt to live fossil-fuel free.

Now I'm heading off for my Ph.D. in Boston in Environmental History and need to get my bikes in order! I'm rebuilding my Dad's old early 90s Centurion Accordo and my touring bike-- a Schwin Searcher GS.

These forums have such a wealth of information and are part of building a stronger cycling culture. I'm excited to become more involved!

Best,
Phil

Congrats on your work saving the fossil fuels. I try to keep track of barrels of oil I might be saving with my commutes. Keep it up.

Welcome from the Vegas area.
