Hello Jayce, welcome to BF. Tell us something about your self. What are your bike interests?

G'day Bill!
I started racing BMX in 1983, started working in and around bike shops from 1986, I've raced most disciplines: road, TT, triathlon(does that even count?!?), XC, DH, 4X, criterium, BMX, and I've got about 9 bikes currently(N + 1 rule!). I also have a soft spot for performance cars, surprisingly. Just refurbing a 1998 Bianchi Boron XL as my latest project...

Fave' riding would be Kowen Forest, Mt. Stromlo and I have a love of Victorian roads(maybe not their drivers, though!)
Off to Colorado in two weeks to see what can be found there in between work commitments!

Jayce, That is quite a CV you have for bicycling experience. The Bianchi Boron build sounds intriguing to me. And, yes Triathlon counts here, we have a great Forum for that discipline you can check out. If you are going to be in Colorado, check the Regional Forum here for the Colorado area, you can post there and connect with the many locals that are members here. they can put on to some rides.

Im actually victorian myself and probably moving back at end of year. Particularly love bright-ovens buffalo hotham falls area and around baw baw, have lived and ridden day to day both areas and it changed my life.
Love stromlo as well, my fave mtb areas are sparrow hill and used to be majura but the trails got pretty worn and now the bottom of the hills being carved up to expand the freeway or so Im told.
Canberras a great place in that the roads offer every kind of challenge from huge distance flats to medium size big climbs. The roads are usually in very good condition imho but the drivers are the worst of all. Most of my routes are as quiet as possible on secondary and tertiary roads. Ive always had a reverence for altitude and climbs and got a big kick out of them whether i was slow or whatever, wanna go to colorado for the amazing landscapes and alpine riding as well but will have to wait for a while yet, pleaseshare

Canberra is the place I've lived the longest in(22 years and counting), so it's home for me know. By bloodline, I'm half Queenslander, half Essex(U.K.) fellow. I've ridden and raced a lot of places, but the U.S. has eluded me in my riding years until this next fortnight. That said, I'll only manage two rides(one fat tyred, one road), as I'm only there for a short stay, and it's work.

Thanks for the tip mate; I'll have a look shortly! Most Australian cars are passable, for the most part. I'll see if I can post up some of the better examples. My particular car is actually Japanese: an R32 GTR, aka Godzilla. If you know what this is, you're doing well!
