New Old Guy

Hello, new to Bike Forums and first post; so a bit about me and such. John, from East TN. about to hit the hillcrest on the age meter. Son has moved off to follow his field of study. The wife and I are about to restart riding again for fun and fitness. Has been quite a while for us both, although she did a short stint with my son some time ago when he was learning to ride. At that time she was on a woman's Mongoose trail bike from a dept. store. Aluminum, and not bad for the time, or price. Waaay back when, we used to cruise about on a pair of matching, black Puch 10 spd. roadbikes...we miss those days. Now we are in the market for a pair of sorta higher end hybrids and plan to do the greenways and work toward some group outings.
You may have guessed from the user name that my other interests are Mopars and guitars. Guitar users seem to appear on every bike user forum I've lurked on so far. Hope I have more success with spokes than I do strings. Do I play guitar? Let's just say that anyone unfortunate enough to have experienced my renditions would say that I PLAY WITH GUITARS. I look forward to discussions and information sharing with all members here.

Hello John, welcome to BF, great to have you decide to join us here. There are plenty of guitar enthusiast here, just read some replies and threads and they will stand out to you. Not to sure about MOPAR and max wedge or Hemi fans here but, I'm partial to '70-'71 'Cudas myself, regardless of the engine block. Say a 'Cuda AAR, maybe. Best of luck on your search for new hybrids for you and your wife, our Hybrid Forum would be a great place to post your questions and thoughts.

Welcome John. Stop by the Southeast Regional subforum and say hello.
Post pics of the bikes when you get them.
And if you're over 50 (I'm 68) stop by the 50+ forum.
