Howdy Folks!

I live in Merrickville, a little town south of Ottawa in Ontario, Canada. I am a bicycle addict and despite efforts through 12 steps, I remain so. My passion is old, vintage, metal bikes like the "real" professionals used to compete on. No I don't smoke or drink booze to get over a big hill or to survive a century, but I love the pain on an old metal bike; "the greater the suffering, the greater the pleasure" is my credo. Henri Desgrange got it right when he said, "deraillers were only for people over 45". I am a personal trainer & a spin instructor and have 12 spinning bikes that keeps me and my little spinning community of close to 100 turning the cranks during winter. I own several bikes including a Mancini (Italian), a 70's (I think) Mieli & a LeJeune-Tour de France from the 70's. I also have some newer bikes to keep in touch with the present day. I have been riding bikes since my 1st trike back in 1956.
