Auto Brake Cleaner as Bike Degreaser?
Aerosol degreasers are expensive at bike shops. I've recently learned that aerosol brake cleaners for cars work just as well for bikes. Is this true? Are they fundamentally different? Would it damage the chain, cogs, etc?

You may have better luck with this question in the bicycle mechanics part of this forum.
My concern with brake cleaners is ventilation and toxicity.
I use plain old solvent as a chain cleaner/degreaser. When pressed I will even use WD40 as a cleaner. Let the chain dry then lubricate.
