Hi from Santiago, Chile
HI TO EVERYONE
I'm new into this forum, and new into cycling too. My name is Andrés and I'm from Santiago, Chile.
A few months ago I been looking for road bikes or framesets when I found an used Canopus frameset on a bike shop. Its looks so good and the Columbus dropouts shows a great value. So I decide to buy it.
I don´t now what exact model was, I think it's a Epsilon,
I'm here because I'm looking for info about the Canopus brand, and they framesets. I got some valued info about the brand in this forum
This is my actual ride, but need some work, (new paint, and change some mechanical components)
And the guys who sold me the frameset.
I will post updates when the paint job starts.
Bye,
Andrés

Welcome to BF! You might have some luck finding out about your frame in the Classic and Vintage Bicycle forum. Good luck with your new bike.

Sorry, time flyes and I don't post any updates.
Fast forward... the bike was disassembled and sent to get a paintjob. I choose to paint with the Martini Racing livery, just becouse I love it
My goal was build something like an upgraded vintage road bike. Not a full period correct build, mostly because I don´t have exact information of bike's manufacturing year and original color scheme. Another reason was the brand new ultegra 9speed crankset that I buy, with matching bottom bracket in italian thread, just for my bike.
So, the build looks like this

last stage
after a year of almost daily use, the lug at the bottom of the head tube got a crack. It´s worth to mention that the bike got a little crash after the paint job and was repaired 2 years before. So now, needs a headtube and lugs replacement.
In the meanwhile, o got Shimano 600 tricolor brake levers and calipers, I only miss the rear derraileur to complete the 600 tricolor drivetrain. The goal was almost reached.
there are new pictures of the last stage of my Canopus
there are detailed info in PedalRoom Canopus road bike - Pedal Room
