Cycling for fun, for the planet, for health...
Greetings from southern Oregon! I'm a two-wheel enthusiast who returned to cycling as an adult after my car broke down and I realized getting around by bike was much more interesting and fulfilling. Since rediscovering my youth, I've been working on building our family's stable of reliable human-powered vehicles (we're up to one each + one extra so far).
My spouse is learning to be a bike mechanic (yay!) and we're both a tad geeky when it comes to gear and equipment. I'm not ashamed to admit that I can be found enjoying (and reposting on FB) premium bike porn. I'm interested in cycling advocacy and expansion of bicycle friendly communities, as well as the politics of multimodal infrastructure.
I'm a sucker for information and discussion and, by the looks of it, I expect to get plenty of both here. :-)

This is a great place for all of that, annie! You can pretty much find anything here. And yeah, once you catch the biking bug, and realize.... hey, I got here how fast? The road just opens up. Welcome to Bike Forums!
