Hey from Central Florida!

Hi, I am a runner and my husband wanted to get me a bike for my birthday because I was contemplating a triathlon. So we ended up purchasing Cannondale Quick4 hybrids so we could ride together, as he isn't a runner. Anyway we will bike tour the Outer banks this October, so we have been riding everyday 10-20 miles. We love it. Rails to trails is what we have found enjoyable for us. The challenge will be when the days get shorter in the winter.

Welcome! We do have some really nice rail trails. If you haven't been yet, give the Little Econ Greenway a shot. Very nice scenery, few at grade road intersections.

Thanks, I will . We are riding the Pinellas this weekend. I hear it is nice. So have you ridden on the West Orange? We have ridden it several times.

Welcome to BF and enjoy that new bike! After you come home from your Outer Banks escapade... give the drive train on your tandem a good cleaning and get all that wretched sand out of it. I did a Cape Cod tour a few years ago and I think my bike gained about 10 pounds from the weight of the sand I picked up. It was a very enjoyable tour, but the post-tour cleaning job was one of the worst I've ever had to do!
