Hello from the UK.

Hi, I came across this forum a while ago but have not posted before. I find it interesting to read the take on cycling that you Americans have.

I'm 55yrs and live in N. Wales UK. I cycle for commuting as well as for pleasure. I sometimes tour with camping equipment. I love the hills round here and can often be found searching for the steepest of them, just for the pleasure of the exercise you understand...

I ride a lovely 531 Carlton Corsa that was handbuilt in 1979, as I only average about three hundred miles a month it is scarcely bedded in yet. It is a light touring frame and is equiped for touring. I also have a Dawes mountain bike for my excursions over rougher terrain than the Carlton likes and a Raleigh mountain bike framed tourer as well.

Welcome aboard

Never been to your side of the Atlantic, but I've seen a few episodes of a show called 'Home & Away: A Place in the Sun'- you've got some beautiful scenery there.

Congrats on finally "coming out of the closet" and getting vocal after 22 months of silent running!

Touring sounds pretty intense, seems to take a lot of preparation too. Welcome!
