Hi all - I'm Grant from NW UK.

Due to a foot injury in February I was forced from running onto my old bike & I've never looked back!!!

I do a 10m e/w commute as well as stuff at the weekends.

I'm a MTB man & recently did a custom build around a lightweight carbon GT Zaskar frame - fast & light!!!

I've also just gone over to the dark side & pre-ordered a Specialized Roubaix SL4 Disc which is to go in my Christmas stocking...can't wait!!

See you outthere!!

Oy Grant, welcome to Bike Forums!

To err is human. To moo is bovine.

Who is this General Failure anyway, and why is he reading my drive?

Welcome to BF and enjoy those snappy new bikes! You'll be able to stay with serious cycling far longer in life than you'd be able to stay with serious running (as many of us have already discovered!) and you'll be able to enjoy what you called "the dark side" for more of the year than you can enjoy serious off-road MTB'ing. Plus -- they have stores along the roads that have hot chocolate/coffee/tea, sodas and all kinds of stuff to eat and drink, which is something you don't see on those off-road trails! In reality, the road is calling to you (no pun intended).
