Hi from Washington DC

Hello everyone. I've been biking for 16 years, mostly as a recreational weekend warrior. Over the years work and family has reduced my bike time to 1 day on the weekends. I'm proud of myself this year as I'm over 350 miles total since the spring. This is more than the previous 3 years combined! I'm in my mid 40s but feel great. I just bought my first real road bike, a used Novara, and have a 100K ride planned in a few weeks.

Hey ajemm,

Welcome to Bike Forums from Texas.

Do you feel faster on the Novara?

I do, mostly because I've ridden all summer on my mountain bike.
